Last night I attended a lively meetup on social media at Brainstation Toronto. The fast-paced discussion covered trends in social media, particularly for brands.
Many of the speakers’ points confirmed what my colleagues and I (especially Alison Garwood-Jones) have been discussing of late: the evolution of content away from the traditional hub-and-spoke model where your blog or website sits at the centre. Two other trends: live video (with Facebook taking a bigger share every day) and messaging apps.
Here is a quick recap of the discussion.
