Eric Kintz, the HP VP who writes the Marketing Excellence blog, offers up a cool case study of how viral networks spread, along with insights into how to drive effective word-of-mouth campaigns. He uses one of his own posts (about blogging frequency) as an example.

This was particularly interesting to me, because I was one of the people who tracked back to Eric’s original post back in July, after a friend told me about it. (And in the Small World Department: I spoke to Eric by phone a few weeks after that, while working on an assignment for a client.)
