Some people say that podcasting is a fad that won’t succeed as a business tool. Dave Taylor, for example, wrote eloquently about this. In fact, he even recorded a podcast about the ineffectiveness of podcasts. Very clever, Dave. ;-))

Then there’s the recent article in Information Week that describes the benefits of podcasting for both marketers and corporate types.

Well, we won’t know for a few years how the whole podcasting thing works itself out. For now, I belong in the camp of those who believe that podcasting – done right – can function very nicely as one more channel at the communicator’s disposal.


  1. The irony with my anti-podcast podcast is that it’s actually been picked up elsewhere. In fact, BBC Radio 1 just aired a documentary on “citizen radio” and… I was in it! Much to my surprise!!
