Learning more about intranets

IMG_3209I’m looking forward to expanding my knowledge of intranets, and learning more best practices about internal communications at the IntraTeam event, which starts tomorrow. I’ll be attending sessions on mobile and video, too.

At the conference, I’m leading a podcasting workshop and conducting a breakout session on storytelling.

This is my first visit to Copenhagen, and I’m enjoying the architecture, the food and the bicycles!

Hi Donna, Thank you very much for an inspiring session about Storytelling – corporate storytelling in both text, audio and video channels – but as you said be sure there is a story.

Do you think it is company culture that determines wether audio, video is used in companies for communication/storytelling, or even down to senior management adoption of digital channels? Or do you see trends in different sectors?

Hmm. Good question, Brian! I think to some extent that corporate or organizational culture is an influence, and senior management definitely plays a role. I haven’t really seen a trend in different sectors; there are too many variables for me to generalize regarding various sectors, whether financial or manufacturing or service or otherwise.

Hope this helps! Glad you liked the storytelling session at the IntraTeam event. I enjoyed speaking in Copenhagen and meeting so many interesting people.
